WHAT IS MENTAL FITNESS?
In Neurofeedback, mental fitness refers to the cognitive well-being of a person to healthily manage and be resilient to daily mental challenges. A mentally fit person can easily perform tasks because of these factors:
- Speed of Mental Process – Ability to quickly absorb complex situations, tasks, and information by placing logical order to it. At same time, the individual can quickly respond to these elements or shift to other activities.
- Performance – Ability to pursue long mental tasks with little exhaustion.
- Comprehension – Ability to grasp and analyze complex situations, tasks and information presented to him.
- Articulation – Ability to give well-informed judgement and feedback in a logical and clear manner.
- Emotional stability – Ability to be make sound decisions despite emotional factors.
Today, mental peak performance is important because of the many modern challenges we face. We are constantly bombarded with information from our online and offline environment. We need to exercise our minds to absorb this information and prudently respond to it. Examples of mentally challenging situations include creating business plans, focusing on work, managing one’s schedules, taking part in sports activities, and interacting with clients, co-workers, friends and family.
